Beaches
Northern Michigan’s beaches are astounding in their beauty and variety during all four seasons. They provide the threshold to a refreshing and relaxing adventure.
In a state with more than 3,200 miles of shoreline, almost countless inland lakes, and more coastline than any other state except for Alaska, going to the beach is almost a requirement. Lake Michigan beaches sparkle and stretch for miles in the summer sun and ripple with historic sand dunes.
Be sure to look for the famous Petoskey stones while you walk the beach along Little Traverse Bay, or take a short walk to delightful shops just steps from Zorn Park Beach in downtown Harbor Springs. Many of the beach areas also offer boating, bicycling, hiking and camping. Relax, soak up some sun, and play along the shore and in the water!
