Snowmobiling
In Northern Michigan there are thousands of miles of designated snowmobiling trails. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources spends over $2.5 million dollars to groom the trails each year. No matter where you are in Michigan, you are only a short drive away to the trail system. Below are a few helpful links for the perfect snowmobiling adventure:
Permits are required. You can download the application by clicking here. The Michigan Snowmobilers Association covers an extensive area and offers up-to-date trail reports. The Michigan DNR has all the trail maps by county.
The Bluffs Resort on Black Lake in Cheboygan loves snowmobilers and provides them direct access to the trails.
