Offering both Nordic skiing and snowshoe trails, Boyne Highlands has 3.5 kilometers of trails open with navigational lighting on Friday and Saturday evenings, and Boyne Mountain offers 35km of groomed track set trails. The MacKenzie Cross-Country Ski Trail, at Caberfae Peaks, is an outstanding 15 kilometers nordic trail, set in a beautiful northern hardwood forest. Crystal Mountain's 40+km cross-country skiing trail network provides terrain for all ability levels, from novice to expert. They even have 4K
lighted for night skiing. Meticulously groomed for both skating and traditional cross-country skiing, these picturesque northern Michigan cross-country skiing trails were rated #1 in Michigan by Michigan Living magazine readers. At the Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor, trails start at the resort and wind through the dense forests and open meadows within the adjoining Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
