Indians, explorers, and loggers once used Northern Michigan’s series of lakes and rivers to conduct commerce and travel the state. You can travel those same waters by paddle, sail or with power.

If you want to leave the navigating to the pros, sign up for a historic boat tour or rent a boat for fishing, sailing or zipping across the waves, depending on how and how fast you want to go. You can take a boat from Charlevoix to Beaver Island for a day of exploration. Endless fun is waiting on Northern Michigan’s wonderful waters, so get up here!
