Indoor Water Parks:
Boyne Mountain's Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark.
Themed as a Swiss-Austrian village, Avalanche Bay transports guests to
a winter wonderland with slides, rides, kid’s pools, climbing wall,
lazy river, even a surf simulator.
Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City features a 38,000 square-foot
indoor water park with eight waterslides, five pools, two whirlpools
and a four-story, 12-level interactive Tree House Water Fort.
AmericInn Lodge & Suites
in Munising is home to Splash Bay Adventure, an indoor recreation
center with pool, 110-foot figure-8 water slide, a wading pool with
water slide, whirlpool and sauna.
Outdoor Water Parks:
Crystal Mountain has the Park at Water’s Edge, a one-acre,
outdoor water playground. The highlight is the 4,200 square-foot pool,
with a water playground structure, a 32-foot climbing wall, a sand play
area and an outdoor hot tub that is open year round. Thunder Falls Family Water Park
in Mackinaw City features twenty acres of thrills including 12
world-class slides and a Lazy River and a wave pool with 4-foot waves.
